Four types of reality go beyond what we experience in the physical world: Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Mixed Reality, and Extended Reality. Each of these has many applications beyond gaming and entertainment. They can be used for tasks such as training and education, product design, and even surgery. Some companies are also beginning to use them as a way to interact with customers.

Augmented Reality

Augmented Reality is a type of reality that combines real life with digital information. With Augmented Reality, users can see digital information overlaid on top of the physical world. This can be done through a device such as a smartphone or a tablet, or through a special headset that displays the digital information in front of the user’s eyes.

One of the most well-known examples of Augmented Reality is the game Pokémon GO. In this game, players can see digital Pokémon characters overlaid on top of their real-world surroundings. Another example is the app Snapchat, which uses Augmented Reality to add filters and effects to photos and videos.
